Networking Group Announcement - NEW!!!

We join networking groups for a number of reasons. It has been my experience that most health and elder care businesses network to -

  • Share information about our companies with the hope of receiving referrals

  • Have the opportunity to learn from other professionals

  • Develop relationships

  • Be part of a worthwhile group effort to help seniors in our local communities

Within each of our communities we have a number of groups to join and participate in. However, if you are like me, you often times miss the meetings because you cannot find the time to attend. Or if you do attend, quite often, you find that you cannot afford the time commitment to join a committee and take full advantage of what the group has to offer.

Would you like to participate in a networking group at your convenience - without leaving your office? Network with other professionals in this industry that operate in your local service area AND France, Canada, India and throughout the United States! See Networking Group

The networking group is an open invitation to all health and elder care professionals. You do not have to be a Certified Senior Approved Service to network with us! Many of you do not meet our prerequisites and cannot apply for our customer survey/certification process at the moment. You can still take advantage of this valuable resource!

Part D Spells 'Disaster' for Many Senior Citizens
Written by Saul Friedman

It's past time that the Bush administration and its buddies in Congress concede it has been a fiasco entrusting a prescription drug benefit for 42 million elderly Americans - sick, mentally ill, disabled or poor - to scores of insurance and drug companies, thousands of pharmacies and countless others.

Instead the administration is tinkering at the edges of the chaos, as if the problems were a computer glitch, and sending public relations people around appealing to the foxes of the drug and insurance industries to be kind to the chickens. Continue Reading

The Demand for Quality Assisted Living and Nursing Homes Far Outweighs Price Shopping
Written by Jonathan Brickman.

Choosing the assisted living facility for our mom was so nerve-racking. ... 'In the end, we trusted our gut feelings. It ended up a disaster. Beverly M. of Warren Michigan.

The assisted living facility that Beverly chose was not the least expensive of her choices. When making her decision between the six facilities near the town her mother wanted to live ‘safety’ was in fact the deciding factor. Competing for Potential Clients
Written by Barbara Mascio

Many factors influence where and what a person decides to buy or what service they select to contract with. Although the telephone directories and senior print directories are no longer an automatic part of the loop, many potential clients will consult both the Internet and print directories, not relying on either one alone.

However, a substantial number will only call print ads that show a website, even it they don't intend to visit it. It goes to the credibility issue.

What's different today than say five or ten years ago? Continue Reading
