My American Dream-The first Chinese Herbal Health Center

I watched our 'Ancient Acupuncture & Chinese Herbal Health Center' light box sign turn on for the first time. I do not know how long I stood there with tears in my eyes.

My thoughts went back to more than 40 years ago, when I was a little girl, I always watched my parents work at their hospital pharmacies. My mother’s hospital was well known for treating skin problems. The hospital had a special dermatology pharmacy. I watched my mother using the specula to make their special skin crème. I also remember my father lifting me to a tall stool to watch him work. There I saw red, pink, blue, green, yellow-so many colored liquids made by my father. What beautiful magic! When I grew a little older, I became a good helper, putting labels on.
