Holidays can be a bitter-sweet experience for all of us. Families are wonderful and something to be grateful for, but things don't always go as planned or as expected. Stay loose, go with the flow.

My prayer for each of you this year is that you enjoy the company of at least one person that you care about and who cares for you. If you are fortunate to have more than one, then certainly you have much to be grateful for.

Thank your turkey for providing you with sustenance. Do your best to focus on everything in your life that brings you joy. Pray for peace across our borders and within our own local towns. Have an extra spot at the table? Think about inviting that 'someone' you know is alone for the day.

Whatever you do, claim a few seconds to quietly reflect on all that you have to be grateful for. And then, wish your good fortune on to all of us - and we'll do the same for you.
