We join networking groups for a number of reasons. It has been my experience that most health and elder care businesses network to -
Share information about our companies with the hope of receiving referrals
Have the opportunity to learn from other professionals
Develop relationships
Be part of a worthwhile group effort to help seniors in our local communities
Within each of our communities we have a number of groups to join and participate in. However, if you are like me, you often times miss the meetings because you cannot find the time to attend. Or if you do attend, quite often, you find that you cannot afford the time commitment to join a committee and take full advantage of what the group has to offer.
Networking ~ Without Leaving the Office!
With this in mind, we have launched an online networking group so that we (and others) can accomplish the top four goals of joining a professional network – however – host the network on line so that we can attend and participate conveniently.
The Network membership will be ‘invitation’ only. It will not be an online community that accepts all applications. It will be viewable by the general public (which you will want to help further promote your service both locally and nationally) however, only members will have the ability to use the majority of the resources on the web site.
Not all applications for membership will be accepted. We intend to protect the integrity of the group. I have researched a multitude of online networking type groups and the last thing I want is a membership with folks that are selling ‘adult content’ or other types of services not conducive to health and elder care.
The online networking group for professionals is open to any business in the health, elder care, senior service arena. It is also open to those businesses that serve this industry. You do not have to be a Certified Senior Approved Service to join.
