Assisting Start-Ups and Small Businesses

Honey, I have an Idea

Most start-ups will include the support of your spouse and family. Going in to business for yourself requires dedication and the time you invest in your idea will take time away from your family. It is important that you have their support in your idea.

You have a great idea! Now what?

Questions to Consider

  • Is there a market for your idea?
  • Do you have competition?
  • Can you describe your idea in sixty seconds or less?
  • Do you know how to price your service or product?
  • Do you know who your future customers are?
  • Do you know how to reach them?
  • Can you quit your job?
  • Do you know how much time, money and effort you need to invest?
  • How large does your staff have to be?
  • Can you do everything yourself?
  • Is the timing right?

Feedback

Do you have a plan that will guide you through the process from the very beginning of an idea to the implementation of that idea? Do you have someone that can honestly step back and play devil's advocate with you? All start-ups must have one person that they can turn to for positive constructive criticism.

We will sit with you and simply listen. We will then offer a bit of advice. We may tell you that you are too advanced for our current consumer environment and suggest you keep your daytime job. (Sometimes the great idea you had in the wee hours of the morning just isn't that great!)

If you can 'sell' us on your rough idea, then we can help you structure your 'idea' in to a business poised for success.

The Plan

We begin at the beginning. You must have a plan. This plan can be developed formally so that you have a nice report to offer potential investors or lenders. It can also be a plan scratched out on a legal pad. Either way, you need to know how to get from point A to point B.

If you intend on asking anyone for seed money, you need a formal business plan.

We will work with you to help you develop a workable, realistic plan for your business. If you prefer, you can contract with us and we will create the final copy in a format that is sure to make an impression!

There is no fee set to help you towards creating your own business plan. We do have to charge you if you want us to do this for you. Fee will vary on the scope of your business idea.

Time to Market

Are you ready to attract customers? Have you defined who your customers are? Where will you find these customers? Will you have competition?
